Educational
Technology Plan Requirements
1.
The Plan provides a
description of the type of technologies to be acquired,
including specific provisions for interoperability among
components of such technologies and, to the extent
practicable, with existing technologies.
2.
The Plan provides
an explanation of how acquired technologies will be integrated
into the curriculum to enhance teaching, training, and student
achievement.
3.
The Plan provides
an explanation of how programs will be developed in
collaboration with existing adult literacy service providers
to maximize the use of technologies.
4.
The Plan describes
how the district will ensure ongoing, sustained professional
development for teachers, administrators, and school library
media personnel to further the use of technology in the
classroom or library media centers.
5.
The Plan identifies
the sources(s) of ongoing technical support training and
assistance available to schools, teachers, and administrators
served by the district.
6.
The Plan provides a
description of the supporting resources such as services,
software and print materials, which will be acquired to ensure
successful and effective use of technologies that are
acquired.
7.
The Plan reflects
the projected timetable for implementing the strategic
long-range plan in schools.
8.
The Plan addresses
the projected total cost of technologies to be acquired and
related expenses needed to implement the strategic long-range
plan.
9.
The Plan describes
how the district will coordinate available state and local
grant resources to implement the strategic long-range
technology plan.
10.
The Plan describes
how the district will evaluate the progress and impact of its
implementation.
11.
The Plan includes
an Acceptable Use Policy that addresses Internet use.
12.
The Plan includes a
description of how the district will encourage the development
and use of innovative strategies for the delivery of
specialized or rigorous courses and curricula through the use
of technology, including distance learning technologies,
particularly in areas that would not otherwise have access to
such courses or curricula due to geographical distances or
insufficient resources.
13.
The Plan includes a
description of how the district will use technology
effectively to promote parental involvement and increase
communication with parents, including a description of how
parents will be informed of the technology used.
14.
The Plan describes
the steps the applicant will take to ensure that all students
and teachers have increased access to technology and to ensure
that teachers are prepared to integrate technology effectively
into curricula and instruction.
